A pre and post tenancy clean is essential when maintaining a property to a high standard. This service is usually provided by the landlord but in certain cases the tenant can be liable for the post tenancy clean.
A new tenant should expect the following;
A clean and sanitised bathroom and kitchen with fittings properly de-scaled.
A thoroughly clean kitchen with grease-free appliances.
Carpets should be deep cleaned and wooden or hard flooring swept and washed.
All woodwork should be washed and all furniture polished.
Windows both inside and out should be sparkling clean.
No stains or holes in walls.
Scuff marks removed from walls etc...
The property must also be free from any smells such as animals or smoke.
